EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION– The candidates interested for the posts should be 10th and 12th pass from a recognized board and graduated from a recognized university/college/institution. It is to be noted that no relaxation in the educational qualification will be given in case the candidate happens to fall in reserved category i.e. the qualification remains the same for all category candidates.
AGE LIMIT– the candidates must be of at least 18 years and not more than 35 years of age i.e. the age of the candidate must lie between 18-35 years. Age relaxation in the upper age limit shall be given to the candidate if he falls in the Reserved Category. The relaxation will be given according to the rules and regulations of the government.

- Next, clink on the ONLINE APPLICATION SERVICES.
- An application form will appear on the screen.
- All the necessary details are to be filled in by the candidate.

SELECTION PROCEDURE– The candidates will be selected on the basis of certain tests which are as under-
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS– The height of the candidates should be 167cms and chest should be 81cms with an expansion of 5cms. No relaxation will be given in these necessary requirements. In addition, the candidates must have full field of vision, the distant vision should be 6/6 Snellen for both the eyes and near vision should be 0.5 Snellen for both the eyes.
It is to be noted that any morbid condition of eyes including color blindness or quint of either eye, physical defects like bow legs, flat foot, deformed limbs, knock knee or any defect in hearing and speech.
At the time of Karnataka Police Physical efficiency test, the candidates must produce their medical certificates in the prescribed form in order to certifying their physical fitness and eyesight. The Physical fitness certificate should be obtained from medical officer who is not below the rank of assistant surgeon and the certificate for eye sight should be obtained for an Ophthalmologist, who is not below the rank of an assistant surgeon, under the government.
ENDURANCE TEST (ELIGIBILITY TEST) – The candidates who apply for the Kerala police posts, will have to undergo Endurance test which will consist of a road run of 5 kms in 25 mines. The admission tickets for the Endurance test can be downloaded by the candidates through a link in KPSC website which is www.keralapsc.org it is advised that the candidates must take the receipt of the online application and bar code number should be jotted down and kept safely for use in future.
WRITTEN TEST/OMR TEST– Once the candidate qualifies in the Endurance test, he has to undergo a Karnataka Police written test conducted by Special Selection Board. The marks obtained will be given 50% weightage in ranking for selection process, subject to minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by the board, depending on the overall performance of the candidate.
PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST– On the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the written test? OMR test, the candidates will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test.
